This is Bicolor

Yet another shoe post.  I spent an hour this morning looking at sales from my favorite stores, and I came across these amazing sneakers by Feit.

They're made of vegetable tan leather and are completely handmade.  They seem so comfortable and remind me of those chunky white Adidas sneaks that everyone used to wear in high school (for me, it was way back in the early 2000's).

I love both color combos, and since they're handmade, they're in limited production, so you'll totally be wearing something unique.

This is the Angle!

Hi guys,

I'm so sorry that I've been awol for so many months.  I guess it's been hard for me to get into fashion as of late.  I've been more consumer with writing right now.  I'm trying to complete a YA fantasy novel that will make girls hearts go ba-bump ba-bump.

If you wanna read my blogposts about writing, definitely check out mauramilan.wordpress.com.  I kinda feel like I'll be posting generally about fashion in there too and also about my extreme nerd obsessions.

But right now, I wanna gush about these Helmut Lang boots.

Not sure if you can tell, but the heel comes to the end at a really cute point.  Even though, I haven't been wearing too many high-heel type boots (mostly wearing flat boots now), I'm a sucker for strange heels.  I also love how the top of the heel isn't completely flush with the leather.  It's so blocky and cool.

Oh, Helmut Lang...you got me again!!

This is Maharishi X Berlinois

Another jacket post!  I know, I know.  But I just love this.  Just found out about this Maharishi x Berlinois collaboration.  And saw this jacket and just about died.  The fur collar looks so plush and warm, and the muted camouflage detailing, I'm drooling.  The back is super badass too.

Bitches be crying.

This is layered

t

I'm slightly obsessed with Carin Wester's Tuva sweater.  I've been so into oversized knits lately and have been scouring the webs for designer and vintage ones.  I've bought so many Coogi (you know...those Bill Cosby sweaters) this year that I can't count.

The Carin Wester one seems like a cosy piece, and I love how it's layered to look like a long sleeve underneath a Tee.  I used to dress like that in high school, and here I am again, wanting to make the same choices as my 16 year old self.  Life's funny that way.

The white is amazing, but I'm glad you can also find it in black (my safety color ^_^ )

This is the girl on fire.

I'm a huge fan of Trish Summerville.  Loved her Dragon Tattoo work so much that I even bought a leather jacket from her collaboration with H&M.  But now she's got a new collab, and it's through
Net-A-Porter.  Check it out here.

Since, I like more basic styles, I really love the tank top above.  The cut is simple, and the design in the back is classy and cool.  And plus, that bag.  Seriously amazing.  Maybe because it reminds me of my favorite Alexander Wang bag.  I love bags with tons of compartments and several different ways to wear them.  Bag or rucksack...take your pick.

The cowl vest, though, is by Maria Dora, and when I saw it onscreen, I instantly became obsessed with it.  I did some research, and she'll be selling two versions of it soon.  Love this item, especially styled over a slimfitting leather jacket.

This is Y-3

Just got these Y-3 loafers in the mail, and I love them.  Something about that white sole that gives these loafers a little more street edge.

You can find them here

This is plaid.

Yeah, Yeah.  I know it's been a while.  I think it's because I haven't been so excited by fashion these past few months.  But here we are again. It's my favorite season and my favorite clothing finds are out: Jackets!  Coats!

I saw this coat and thought nothing of it at first.  I was more into Phillip Lim's shearling biker jacket, but I think it was because of that amazing navy collar.  Then I realize I have way too many tight coats, and lately, I've been feeling like wearing something large and cozy and somewhat dress down.  Basically, not black.

So here I went, looking at this coat again, and I started to fall in love with it.  It's huge looking, like you can fit a sweater or a leather jacket underneath.  And the detachable shearling collar is a plus.  It would look good on any of my other jackets.

Could be perfect for me this season, especially on those casual days.
