This is layered

t

I'm slightly obsessed with Carin Wester's Tuva sweater.  I've been so into oversized knits lately and have been scouring the webs for designer and vintage ones.  I've bought so many Coogi (you know...those Bill Cosby sweaters) this year that I can't count.

The Carin Wester one seems like a cosy piece, and I love how it's layered to look like a long sleeve underneath a Tee.  I used to dress like that in high school, and here I am again, wanting to make the same choices as my 16 year old self.  Life's funny that way.

The white is amazing, but I'm glad you can also find it in black (my safety color ^_^ )

This is barbara | gongini

I'm so excited to share this with you, mostly because after I get my tax refund, I'm going to be buying this.  This is an amazing knit sweater from Barbara | Gongini (my new favorite designer).  I love love love everything that's out on this line (especially their leather jackets...swoon!)

I thought this was a great sweater because it looks so big and comfy while also having a sort of crazy spiderweb structural design to it.  It also reminds me of a suit of armor/chain mail...so I can feel like the black knight when I wear it.

Eeeeeee.  Love it.  Excited.

It's almost Christmas, and it's getting quite cold outside (even in Los Angeles).  So, I thought that I would post a little Christmas wishlist of functional and cute items that can be worn together in numerous different outfits combinations.

Yes, there's a lot of blacks and grays, but I've included little pops of color to undrab any outfit.  This winter,  I find myself wearing so much black and neutral colors, but have been wearing really bold colored scarves or undershirts (layering!!) to add a little zest of color to my outfits.  Neon yellow is very fun.  Red is classic.  And my new favorite is mint.  Wearing a mint scarf would be like wearing a fun christmas candy kingdom on your neck without getting too bogged down in more traditional christmas red and green.

It's time to layer!  It's time to put as many clothes on yourself without looking like a blocky marshmallow.  All of this just to stay warm.  Do it.  EEeeeeee!!!

                                                                      peace and joy!
