This is stingray.

As you all know, I love LD Tuttle boots.  So for a couple months now, I've been obsessing over the Helmut Lang X LD Tuttle boots, especially the black version with the stingray leather in the back.  How unique!  It really just makes me wanna throw down 700$ and buy them, but then I look at my bank account and say "not quite yet."

I guess I have been going wedge crazy lately.  I have a pair of Rick Owens that I wear so often since they're so comfortable, and just got a pair of Ann Demeulemeester suede wedges.  I wonder if I can include another wedge in my collection.  But the silhouette is so unique and striking that I'm sure I can make some room.

You can buy them here.

This is vest season.

Summer is coming so incredibly soon.  It's time to take off those jackets and put on those vests.  I bought this Rick Owens vest for that reason.  I was so excited that I had to take some pics right after taking it out of the box, still with tags and everything HAHAH!

I love this vest.  It has this great diagonal button closure that wraps around me like a snake.  So I can wear it like a cloak or wear it like a boa constrictor.  I can put it over any regular t shirt or dress that I have, and it all looks fantastique!

Vest: Rick Owens
Tshirt: Alexander Wang
Jeans: Helmut Lang

This is wedged.

I'm in want of a pair of Rick Owens wedges.  I thought I was over wedges, since I really rode that trend hard when those Steve Madden wedges were so huge in the early 2000's.  But lately, i've been feeling wedge crazy.  I especially love the Rick Owens' wedge's sleek silhouette.  But alas, it's out of my budget for right now....I keep refreshing webpages until I find some sales.  To those who have them, I envy you all.  I really want to wear these wedges with a long black skirt.   Summer is coming, and I'm very bad at wearing flats.

Since I can't buy the Rick Owens wedge just yet, I started looking at Ann Demeulemeester's wedges., and I think I might take them.  That divide between soft suede and slippery leather.  I think I could use that while I'm stomping around the streets.

What are you guys into?  Wedges or heels?  Any of you have experience with some Ann Demeulemeester footwear.  Tell me, comfortable????

This is silent.

Really in love with the geometry of these suede sandals from Damir Doma.  The cutout on the sides are so unique.  It's such a nice little peekaboo in a very unexpected place.  And the interior lining is such a nice contrast, it reminds me woodblocking for some reason.  This would be a great shoe to have for the upcoming spring and summer seasons.

This is OAK.

Oak NYC (one of my favorite stores) is having their 304050 sale.  One of my favorite times of the year since I very well could buy everything in this store if I could.  The buyers of this showroom have the most amazing sense of style and fashion...everything from Rick Owens to Alexander Wang to Kai-Aakmann  More importantly, the OAK brand is quite incredible as well.  I have a number of their plain tees, and they're the softest things I have ever worn...quite possibly the most comfortable tees ever (and I'm comparing to Alexander Wang and Helmut Lang).

They're also known for their really skinny black jeans...which I have yet to try.  They're so skinny that they encourage you to size up...plus they're unisex.  How cool is that!

Most of their stuff are  of the black, white, neutral variety.  That's my color palette.  This is my number one store. Their site is always up my tabs, and I'm always visiting here when I'm in NYC.  I hope you enjoy!!!

It's almost Christmas, and it's getting quite cold outside (even in Los Angeles).  So, I thought that I would post a little Christmas wishlist of functional and cute items that can be worn together in numerous different outfits combinations.

Yes, there's a lot of blacks and grays, but I've included little pops of color to undrab any outfit.  This winter,  I find myself wearing so much black and neutral colors, but have been wearing really bold colored scarves or undershirts (layering!!) to add a little zest of color to my outfits.  Neon yellow is very fun.  Red is classic.  And my new favorite is mint.  Wearing a mint scarf would be like wearing a fun christmas candy kingdom on your neck without getting too bogged down in more traditional christmas red and green.

It's time to layer!  It's time to put as many clothes on yourself without looking like a blocky marshmallow.  All of this just to stay warm.  Do it.  EEeeeeee!!!

                                                                      peace and joy!
